Sweet Jamie Love

This is Jamie. Or Madame Butterfly. Also Hi-May. She is a teacher, dear friend, and a bright light to everyone who meets her. She loves kids, dogs, coffee, Thor, Coffee Bean Ice Blended drinks, cider, energy balls, massages and nature. Last year she left San Diego for Malaysia to begin her first round of overseas teaching and she was excited to meet her new kindergarten class. However, three weeks after arriving in a new country where she knew no one, she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. Thanks to the support of Mont' Kiara International School and Prince Court Medical Centre, she received amazing medical care. That, combined with the love of an amazing community, and her unbelievable fighting spirit, helped her to beat the cancer. She was deemed cancer free in April of 2018. In July of 2018 she started to suffer from debilitating migraine headaches which led to a diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic brain cancer. She is now in the fight of her life. While her beautiful spirit remains intact and the fabulous owner of the school in Malaysia is continuing her medical support and a generous stipend for rent, there remains mounting ancillary medical costs and life expenses, as she won't be able to work. We are looking for donations to help allay the financial burden she is feeling right now. If you feel like you can give, your funds will go to feeding Jamie, paying for a helper, medication, specialists, transportation, and the numerous day-to-day expenditures needed to keep her well and happy. My name is Lisa Robidoux and I live in Malaysia because my husband teaches at Mont' Kiara International School. Jamie and I formed a bond last year during her treatment and like everyone else, I instantly fell in love with her. As Jamie's best friend Amanda lives in the US, I have taken on many of the logistical elements of her care, which I feel extremely privileged to do. As such, I will be in charge of this Campaign, as I am most able to disperse the funds appropriately as they come in from donors. I will make sure any donation you make goes directly to Jamie's health, happiness, and care, and that she knows that you took such an active part in looking after her and loving her.
