Sustainable Upgradable Houses

Hello,

First I will present myself. In the end I will present my idea and plan.

Who am I?

I'm Marius, 29 years old man. I'm a workaholic, responsible, creative and motivated person.

Till this point of my life I have reached a Head of Design Department position. Before that I was senior engineer in my field (unitized façade industry). It was not an easy journey in this carrier. I had to work hard and more then others to succeed. I have spent a lot of overtimes by learning new features in CAD programs. Also, technical stuff from transportation possibilities, effect of engineered solutions on installation and production cost to basic screw technical parameters.

To become Head of Design Department I had to learn time management, stress control, team-motivation, coaching skills. Also I'm responsible for estimating yearly workload and budgets of the department. Thus I have some skills with money and workload planning.

Why I need funding?

I have always wanted to start my own business, but time was a problem. If I could spend time on developing my ideas that is what I need. To get time I need to quit my job. If I could get a chance that is all that I need. I have no problem to share my visions with donators. I can send daily or weekly work reports. If only I would get this chance.

Sustainable upgradable houses. Brief concept idea.

Timber (CLT - cross laminated timber) modular prefabricated houses that are designed to have possibility for easy upgrading. Let's say young family buys a small modular house - few years latter they earn more money and also maybe planning baby of two. They have a possibility to increase space and area by additionally buying module or two to the one that they already have. (it is a brief concept - write me if you have questions, we could discuss)

Plan:

This funding:

Firstly - I have to design a solution of timber modular house upgrading.

Second step - estimating module prices, work loads.

Third step - buying/coordinating architectural interior design and updating price based on coordination.

If numbers will be promising (and it should be:)) next steps:

Fourth - opening company and starting new fundraising or looking for investors.

Fifth - creating mock-up project to test design (one of two modules).

Sixth - adapting knowledge from mock-up to design.

Seventh - starting selling first houses.

As you see it is a long journey ahead. But I'm not afraid of challenge and actually I'm really waiting for it. It feels that all that knowledge that I got till this point will be used hare in the best practice.
