Sustainable Sanitation System for Upliftment of Women

We intent to construct Dry Sanitation Toilet Blocks that are very low maintenance in rural areas and they require very less water. These Blocks have pits designed so as to segregate liquid waste water,urine and solid faeces.These faeces get accumulated separately and can be used as Manure after 20-24 months. Recent Government statistics show that there is a need for 10 million toilet blocks in Gujarat state of India itself,and people do not have money to construct them. Open defecation poses a lot of risks namely: 1.Women and children safety 2.Diseases such as Malaria,Diarrhoea etc. 3.Low esteem among individuals. Hence it is absolutely important to atleast provide them the necessary infrastructure.
