Peruvian Sustainable Fashion Coworking

We are raising funds for the implementation of the first ever Coworking Space for Fashion Design and Commercialization in Lima, Peru!!!

We have conducted a thorough market study in Lima, to ensure the demand for our space. We have raised 10,000 dollars already but we need additional funds to complete our start up capital, including expenses like rent, utilities, salaries and equipment for our space. We will be forever grateful.

Remodela Coworking was born with the intention of contributing to the development of the creation of high value clothing with Peruvian identity. We believe that those who produce Peruvian fashion have competitive advantages that are not exploited to their full potential. We have highly valuable textile resources, a majestic textile history and an incomparable artistic skill. However, over the years, we continue to be suppliers of either raw materials or mass clothing without identity. In our experience and observation of the Textile and Clothing Sector, we have identified the great need for greater and better articulation among all its actors, as well as the absence of integration strategies that facilitate the flow of the fashion creation process with Peruvian identity. We propose as one of the integration strategies the implementation of a Shared Space for Fashion Design and Commercialization.

This space will have areas implemented with the machines and tools necessary to develop design projects, pattern design, cutting and sewing, as well as to exhibit and market fashion products. Here, the fashion-producing agents of all levels of professional development can interact together and create the synergies that are so necessary for the Peruvian fashion industry.

Founder

Dana Vidal founded Remodela Fashion Lab in 2006, as a company that provides delivery garment alteration services. She is Fashion Designer of Chio Lecca Fashion School, and has been working in the Textile and Apparel sector since 2014, her specialty being Sustainable Fashion. Dana is an Industrial Engineer with specialization in Process Management, a profession that merges perfectly with her second studies, giving rise to a much more complete vision of the sector, which will allow her to conduct this project whose main vision is to do an engineering of Peruvian fashion. She won the YLAI Fellowship in 2018.
