Despite her young age, ballet has become a serious pursuit for Karina. For her ballet has begun a serious preoccupation relatively late, at the age of 10 (though she dabbled in dance at 5). Though, she has progressed rapidly, having immediate results. With plans for both the near and distant future, she sees ballet as not just a passion but a lifestyle—an art that has become an integral part of her.

"I dedicate as much time as I can to ballet. I strive to balance school and ballet, but ballet always triumphs, bringing me joy. The support of my family and the teachers I work with gives me even more strength to push myself daily and aspire to dance on the world's grand stages. Indeed, there is a lot of physical pain and fatigue, but if you dance with your heart, the physical pain diminishes compared to the joy of dancing. Ballet is not easy at all, but if you do it with love, you will succeed. I believe love is the secret. The struggle with the feeling of not progressing is the point where thoughts of giving up arise: 'I've had many bad days where I felt like I wasn't doing anything right; I'm not used to being told that I'm not doing something right, especially in a harsh tone, and these are the moments when the feeling of giving up arises, but I love ballet too much to give up on it. '"After much hard work and dedication, results have emerged, further motivating me.

In 2022, she participated for the first time in an international competition outside the country, the largest being the YAGP in Italy, where she reached the finals and received a scholarship for the International Summer School in 2023.

The year 2023 brought the incredible opportunity to attend the summer intensive course at the English National Ballet School in London. There were many competitions both domestically and internationally where she won numerous awards and scholarships. The desire to showcase her progress and the confidence instilled by Karina's teachers led her to participate again in YAGP Verona, where this time she made it to the finals in classical ballet and won third place in contemporary.

The year 2024 starts off strong. She has the incredible opportunity to participate, following preselection, in the Prix des Hivernales in Belgium. Additionally, after participating in a masterclass with the artistic director of the International School Italia, Karina was offered a scholarship to attend both the Winterschool and the Summer School in Italy. Furthermore, she was accepted to the Royal Ballet School for the Spring Intensive in London.

All these opportunities require a huge financial effort. I believe in myself and aspire to evolve and study at prestigious academies that will help me achieve my dream. I invite you to join me on this journey that will shape me and allow me to carve out my future.

Thank you!
