The situation in Lesvos is already critical but as the weather deteriorates, things will only get worse and conditions more life threatening. Today (11th November 2015), another 14 people have drowned attempting the perilous crossing from Turkey to Lesvos.
Lesvos is struggling to cope; the morgue is full and the relief effort is left to volunteers and locals......
I will be volunteering in Lesvos for 2 weeks from 1st January 2016. I am raising funds to buy much needed supplies. My costs are already covered so the funds are purely for buying essential items for the refugees.

Update posted by Natasha Langstreth at 10:47 amThe donations just keep on coming so I’ve decided to remove the fundraising deadline of 19th December and instead have it as an ongoing campaign with no deadline (at least for the near future). Once again, thank you to everybody who has donated so far, the response has been fantastic!
