The Miraculous Story

Samuel Wipf is a great friend to our family,as well as worked on a water tower company my husband supervised for the past couple of years. Sam is such a hard core construction worker, and enjoyed working his high risk water tower career. On December 4,2012 on a beautiful, efficient, late afternoon the crew had been working on finishing a project. They had been working on replacing a roof on a 130ft water tower located in Pierson,Iowa. Around 430pm, Sam took a 90 ft fall as his backup safety rope broke. While his safety hardness broke some of the fall, he is miraculously alive after the fall. Sam did suffer some extensive injuries and due to these injuries will not be able to do the same jobs he has done before. HE suffered multiple fractures to his right leg, elbow and lower vertebra. He went through a 9 hour surgery to fix his leg and elbow fractures. The surgeon was able to properly fix and set his right leg, but not so lucky on his elbow. He will have limited movement to his elbow, due to the trauma.  Just being able to see the jobsite is almost too much to take and we can only wonder how someone would survive such a fall. It is a miracle, and that’s all how it can be described. Evan though it is a miracle he survived, he will need some help with finances. Unfortunately, Sam will not be able to do any type of work as his bones are healing for at least 6 months. He is going to be wheelchair bound for the next month and not be able to work at all. We are asking for any type of financial help you could assist with for our friend so it will help him with bills! Thank you in advance!!
