My name is Simon Perks.
I am a 52yr old who grew up in West Sussex with a passion for Scouting and the outdoors, team work, personal achievment and self confidence.

I became a Scout leader after reaching a Chief Scout status but working life was calling & I trained as a Manager and evntually as a Stage Manager.
I have worked in the music and entertainment industry for most of my working life, now it's time to give something back.

I have decided to return to my roots so to speak.

I now have a family of my own and teenage children, I come into regular contact with the youth of today who are fascinated with the idea of Adventure and the out doors, survival and backwoods training.

I would like to open a training centre and offer personal backwoods survival skills as part of a holiday experience based on traditional BP Scouting.
However i need some help.

I will need some transport to get you and your family to the mountains and as part of confidence building I want to give the kids a chance to learn to drive off road too.

The money I raise will be used to purchase several LHD ex MOD land rovers & equip them.
The money will be used to buy the equipment we need for cooking.
The base camp tents and of course the medical supplies & insurance.

I am going to price the holiday affordably for familys and kids from troubled backgrounds.
This is a social program & i dont expect to become wealthy from this enterprise.
It's about giving something back.

Anyone who donates will be of course invited to experience it themselves and I'll keep you up to date.

If you donate enough for a whole land rover we will paint your name on it and christen it after you.. ;-)
