Surprise Medical 🏥 and Marriage costs! 😳

Hey there! My name is Azraiel and my partner’s name is Mitra!
We’ve come along way from pen-pals in vastly different countries to deepening friendship and budding romance to finally meet almost a year later! Now we’re in Turkey, tending to our romance and connection and trying to get married and come back to Oregon, U.S.A.!

Aside from our personal story let me share with you why we need help. Before that though, let us thank you ahead of time for your time and patience.

After physically speaking with the Turkish authorities we were notified about specific costs associated with marriage that were not included on the U.S. or the Turkish websites prior to arriving. These include:

1-The acquisition of a family doctor and a physical.
2-Administered blood tests.
3-Separate fee’s for a chest X-ray at a separate hospital.
4-A very high marriage certificate cost.
5-Other unforeseeable fees associated with paying the Malaysian government for certified documents within Turkey AND within Malaysia.
6-Paying respective couriers in Malaysia to deliver said documents.
Our stay is further elongated due to terrorist threats to the U.S. Embassy, forcing their closure and afterwards forcing delayed consulate appointments.

Lastly, as mentioned, our length of stay has been drastically extended so our last major expenses are the general cost of living. I.e. Food and housing.
