Surgery To Save Our Dalmation, Popeye

We are a family that does not often ask for help but recent events have left us with no other choice. Yesterday, our dog, Popeye, fell out the window of a moving vehicle. He suffered multiple gashes to his thigh and x-rays later showed that he further suffered a complete fracture of the femur in his right hind leg. Due to the severity of the injury, we have been left with very little options and limited time to save his leg.

Surgery at a top animal hospital is the only option in order for this loving, smart, loyal, and free-spirited dog to keep his leg. However the cost of the surgery is well beyond our reach as a family and we are left to make a potentially life changing decision for an animal who has brought smiles and joy to everyone who has met him.

We are trying to give our dog, whom we care for more than anything, the best life he can ask for.

All we can do is humbly ask for donations to help cover the costs of the surgery and save Popeye's leg.
R10 000 is the total amount of the cheapest treatment, and R20 000 would cover the total cost of the most effective and most specialised treatment. Any and all contributions would be accepted with warm and grateful hearts and will go directly to the surgery and post surgery care.

We are very aware of the effect that the current pandemic has had on households and the difficulties that it has presented in our lives.
