On January 12, 2017 I found out that my sweet 4 month old puppy had a congenital condition called diaphragmatic hernia. What this means is his diaphragm did not fully develop when he was in his mothers womb, allowing his lower cavity organs to move into his upper cavity. His intestines have already crushed one of his lungs and caused pneumonia in that lung. So he only has one good lung left. He needs a very intensive surgery to save his life. Without this surgery he can not live and will have to be put down, so he does not suffer a painful death. I feel this is not fair to my poor puppy, who has acted like a normal healthy pup. I spent the first 72 hours of this poor baby's life to save him by bottle feeding him every two hours. I just want him to be able to live his life to the fullest. He already has trouble breathing and I don't have long to make a decision. I don't think anyone will understand how completely greatful I will be if I can get the money to save him. All the money will go to his current and upcoming vet bills. I have spent days talking to vets, specialty clinics, and pet insurance companies. The surgery for my puppy Seven is going to be between $2500 to $3500. The surgery will be performed at Kansas State University Veterinary Hospital, their number is 785-532-5690 if you would like to call and ask about the estimate. I do have a large amount of vet bills already wrapped up in this that I am struggling to pay. I am literally heart broken right now. I just financially can not afford this surgery. I am going to be very honest with everyone, without this surgery I will have to put him down because he can not live a full life like this as he is already having breathing trouble. I am going to try really hard for 30 days to get the money together by selling anything I can go without. If you find it in heart to donate or even share this I will greatly appreciate it. I do not have the vet bill yet as they will not do the surgery without part of the money down. The surgery is very intensive. It can take up to 6 hours depending if he has a whole diaphragm or not. He has to be a on a special ventilator so when they just into the cavity it does not collapse his good lung and kill him.
