Support Room Art Space in Cairo

Room Art Space is one of the really few independent culture venues in Cairo and it is in danger of shutting down. In the past 7 years "Room" proved to be one of the leading cultural spaces supporting Egyptian alternative and indie music scene, encouraging freedom of speech and pushes the boundaries of free artistic expression. With your contribution we are not only looking forward to survive but to improve our abilities to host unique experiences and reach more future audience.

The idea of "Room" emerged from the desperate need for more cultural spaces in the massive city of Cairo. in year 2014 Room Art Space launched as one of the first venues that offers a serious cultural programme without any governmental or private funding. The space sustains itself by generating income from food and beverage sales beside tickets income, Room was not only capable of covering its cost but was always evolving and expanding. and the music never stopped. During the past few months and with crisis hitting global community, Room is facing the danger of being forced to shut down. We are depending on more than one stream for funding on this campain but here are our goals linked to Zoomal funding goal.

If we can reach $3,000 Room will have a second chance

If we reach $5,000 Room will have another chance and we will have a chance to hire back more team members to support the venue future vision.

If we reach $6,000 we will do what is above beside improving our sound equipment and sounds space treatment.

Any extra funding will be helpful to give us more safety for the hard periods to come.
