Support Jerome Asuncion’s Health Recovery

Our colleague and friend, Jerome Asuncion, is currently confined in the Manila Doctors Hospital. He had undergone dialysis because his kidneys failed and a tube is currently attached to his throat to help him breathe. He has difficulty speaking.He is staying there on his own. A housemate, visits and stays in the morning when he is off duty. It seems that Jerome has no relatives to take care of his needs. He wishes to be transferred to PGH but in order to do this the hospital bills--PHP 250,000 as of March 26--needs to be settled.

The doctors cannot disclose to us, his friends, his complete medical condition. But we are making this small effort to help alleviate some of his financial burdens through this simple fund raising.

I know everyone of us understands the difficulty of his situation and if we can do a small part in reaching out to his current needs our little efforts will go a long way.

Monetary contributions are needed to support his recovery expenses.
We have set a goal of PHP500,000 to help finance his current medical expenses and treatment expenses in the next few days.

ABOUT JEROME:

Jerome is a college art teacher. He has taught for nearly 10 years. He is finishing his MA in Art education. His work and demeanor is always formal and professional. He has always been very efficient and graciously accommodating in all tasks assigned to him. Everyone he has work with agrees that he is highly dependable especially at times when we need him the most.

He is very pious and always friendly with everyone he meets and never fails to recognize the good in them. That is why Jerome is always a pleasure to be with.

His extracurricular work for the college includes being the founding adviser of the college’s LGBT org that promotes gender advocacies.

He is so quietly working and kidding with anyone in the office that he didn’t even express that he wasn’t feeling well. That is how much he puts others well being before his own.

He admitted himself in the ER Thursday last week for dehydration. He has missed his classes these past two weeks.

Jerome deserves all our help, love and prayers. Any act of kindness will definitely go a long way.
