Supporting The Degree

Hello!

My name is Kiiza, and I am reaching out because I'm trying to achieve my dream of earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business, despite my financial circumstances.

Even before high school I was fascinated by the way businesses work and how the economy was run. This deep interest lead me to pursue my chosen degree at Washington State University in the city of Pullman. As a junior in college, my goal is to graduate in two more years and begin my career as an Associate Business Analyst, preferably at Amazon. Where my passion can help businesses navigate the economy and performance better to achieve their long-term goals.

From the time I was eleven years old, selling ice cold juice boxes and candy to my classmates to my present positons as an economics tutor and college of business ambassador I've maintained my enthusiasm for business. I believe that my whole journey since my early years has been building me up towards earning my chosen degree. If you are willing to help support me towards finishing my Bachelor's program, I am confident that I can turn my passion into a successful career that will help more than just myself.

Why your support matters?

With my father’s job and my work on campus, plus a renewed $2,000 scholarship from the university, we had enough to keep-up with tuition payments each semester. Unfortunately, my father lost his job last month and is working tirelessly to find a new position. In the meantime, tuition is due in less than two months and I'm doing everything I can to help raise funds while he finds a new job. Currently, our combined savings is simply not enough to cover the whole payment. Therefore, I am reaching out for help to make up the difference for tuition next semester.

What is the target?

As an out-of-state student my total tuition per semester not including other fees is $12,258. From my on-campus jobs, my father’s savings and the scholarship we are able to cover mandatory fees, books and housing totaling $6,785. I am hoping to raise the $12,258 before the payment deadline on August 22, 2017. Any contribution you can make during this time would make a big difference.
