My boyfriend and I are very close with his family and have done a lot to help them out over the last 2 years which has left us in very dire straits. His parents are hundreds of thousands in debt with the government due to some poor decision making on their part. We convinced them to sell their house for half the price leaving them with no money to pay off their debts. We purchased Dad's parents’ house that he grew up in so they could eventually buy it from us and have a place to live since they have no means to get a loan and are unable to afford anything with the debt they’re trying to get out from under. We purchased the home for a whopping $255K so that each of the 7 kids (his brothers and sisters) could make a profit of $30K and pay off their debts as well. That left us forking out $25K for them to fix up their house to sell and for the down payment on the house. Unfortunately Dad’s parents’ house is only worth $150K and needs about $100K of work put into it to be livable. The plan was for Mom and Dad to purchase the home from us and pay us back but they are no longer able to do so. We got a really nice apartment for us to move into but Mom and Dad are staying in it now and we are forced to fix up this home and live in it eventually. The home is already down to the studs because Dad started some DIY work and it’s overwhelming to think of everything that needs to be done. We have spent all of our saved money and now don’t have a plan for paying for our wedding either, so we’re not sure how we’re going to move forward with our lives only being 29 years old and stuck in this situation.

On top of all of this Nick's brother is a drug addict and has been stealing from us and Nick's office burned down this summer where he didn't have enough insurance to cover the replacement. Life is just throwing a lot at us and we need some help.

We aren’t looking for charity! We’ll even be willing to offer up a repayment plan – both of us work very hard full-time and are careful to not spend outside of our means. We just want to have a future planned anymore and are hoping to find one again. Any help is appreciated.
