A Proper PC for Kaze

THE GOAL

My goal with this is to raise enough money to be able to surprise my friend Kaze with a new proper computer and what he needs to set it up. The computer he currently has is an old laptop that can barely do school work. We can rarely do anything together because of his current computer not being able to run anything without crashing or taking so long to do anything that we're out of time. He's not very confident and he's very insecure, so when we for long periods of time can't do anything together because of his computer, it hurts me that I know how sad he gets whenever we try to do anything and his computer fails.

I feel it's gotten especially bad in these times in quarantines and lockdowns etc. so I've decided that I want to try to raise money to surprise him with a new proper desktop computer so he can finally spend some times with his friends online and so we can play properly without having to worry about if his computer can handle it.

The other day, he thanked me for asking to play with him and we've spent days trying to. I don't want him to keep feeling bad whenever he can't play with his friends. I thank you sincerely for even reading all of this, it means a lot to me and I hope we can reach this goal together!

He has started trying to stream, which surprised me, but I'm so proud of him for taking that step and I really hope this can help him reach his goal of being less shy. This is another reason I really hope we can do this. I feel it has already helped a little, as he has started talking a little more when we're in calls, which shows me it's working.

THE EQUIPMENT

The plan if we can raise enough money is to buy a prebuilt desktop computer and have it delivered to him along with the things he needs for it. That includes a keyboard, a monitor and a headset. He already has a mouse he's been using for his laptop.

For the headset, I'm planning on the HYPERX Cloud Alpha headset and for the keyboard, I'm hoping on a Corsiar K55. I've previously had a Corsair keyboard myself and I really enjoyed it, so it's only natural that I'd want him to have something I have personal experience with.

For the monitor I've found a nice looking Samsung one. The computer itself is as mentioned above a prebuilt desktop computer. Everything will be bought from his local computer store.

We hope to be able to raise €1.900-2.000 (That's about $2.400) for the computer, the equipment and whatever else he may need to be set up properly.
