Hello, my name is Quincy Miyake 28 years old, living in Cagayan de Oro City Philppines, my boyfriends name is Levi Sabines 30 years old. I'm raising money for my boyfriend Levi, for his medication and check up and therapy. We've been together for almost 4 years and he's been suffering from schizophrenia for almost a decade now. It all started with panic attacks way back when he tried his luck to work away from home, he was diagnosed and medicated but got triggered the time he meet new friends and got involved in vices. His family seems to not care at all anymore, I feel like they have given up on him already. As his girlfriend I took the responsibility of taking care of him but I can't do it all alone especially when it comes to financial aspect. I have no permanent job and just doing freelancing that the income could not sustain my boyfriend's basic needs like food and medicine. I'm still living with my family and they are helping me with it, somebody told me to create a getgofunding account for him hoping I could raise funds for his medication and food.
Living with someone who has mental illness, especially during relapse is so hard, when all you have is just yourself to take care of him but you're out financially that makes life more harder that's why I thought of appealing here in this site. I've been suffering from anxiety and depression too but I'm fighting for my boyfriend. I have promised him and myself to never leave and forsake him no matter what happen. I am already tired mentally, emotionally, and physically but not spiritually, I’m getting all the strength from our Lord who gives me hope, I believe that this is just part of His plan, that this is just a test to become a TESTIMONY in the future. I’m holding on to this verse: “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26.
Levi has been a good and faithful boyfriend to me, he’s a Christian like me, he stopped going to church because of his illness and I am hoping that aside from mental and physical aspect I could also help him restore back his faith and his feet back to our Lord Jesus Christ.
All the money I could raise here will be used in his follow up checkups and medication and rehabilitation if possible. As of now I have raised $20 from a relative and I'm so thankful I could now send him to the doctor for his follow up checkup, hoping could raise more for his medicine. I believe that there are good Samaritans out there who are willing to help someone whose life was almost ruined by “the thief”, but “the thief” is not going to succeed. I will be forever grateful in advance for those who are going to help. You'll be a great part of his healing and recovery and restoration.
