₱40,900Donated So Far
Help farmers severely affected by the lockdowns amid the COVID-19 pandemic, let us help them transport their goods to Metro Manila!
Farmers often have no choice but to throw away their produce when the prices are too low. (READ: Cordillera farmers throw away veggies due to lack of buyers amid COVID-19 quarantine)
Sadly, this is also why 25% of Filipino farming families are living below the poverty line, earning as low as P2,000 (US$40) a month.
Farmers need your help
#SupportFarmersPH is part of the #GrowASEAN initiative, a project led by Tagani Philippines, which aims to help farmers stay resilient amid crises.
We provide them free access to trucking services, cold storage, farm equipment, and internet access — especially in this trying time when they are severely affected by the lockdowns amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
We aim to transform 100 small-hold farms into resilient, sustainable, digitally-connected farms by raising funds to equip them with the right tools, machines, market linkages, and inputs.
This project is co-presented by the US Mission to ASEAN and Cultural Vistas through the YSEALI Seeds program.
#SupportFarmersPH also seeks to promote community-supported agriculture by activating local farmer's markets in various parts of the country — to avoid the persistent oversupply and volatile market prices.
