Campaign Story
May Lloret was my sister. We grew up together in Makati, Philippines along with our brothers and sisters. One of the best things about May while growing up, was her selflessness. She was always willing to help others with a smile on her face and deeply cared for the ones she loved. Even though she didn't have kids, she treated mine as her own- with my children often thinking of her as a second mother as well as my other siblings' children. Growing up she struggled with asthma. Unfortunately, this year, on top of the COVID-19 quarantine, she lost her life in a battle with pneumonia. She left behind a husband, Dexter, who is currently in his 5th day of quarantine/isolation for COVID-19, so he never got the chance to see her get cremated. This fundraiser is not only for May's Memorial, but also in support of Dex , who was not only in the front lines as an essential worker, but also bravely volunteered as a firefighter in the Philippines. The money will be used towards medicine and food that will be needed for his well being, the medical expenses that May accumulated in her short time in hospital confinement, and to test the rest of her (for COVID-19) family in which she came into contact with before her passing.
May the good Lord open your generous hearts during these extremely difficult times. 🙏
