I am 40 years old, mother of two teenage boys, have been diagnosed with Colon Cancer Stage 4, I have already under gone three major surgeries in last three months. Only the first session of my Chemotherapy is done (11 more sessions required). Unfortunately an unforeseen complication has risen due to small intestinal adhesions and blockage, which requires further treatment and possible surgeries. :
Two months back, I had sudden pain and was admitted in the hospital, after scan, having been diagnosed with gallbladder stones and laparoscopy procedure was required to remove the gallbladder. Surgery conducted as on 26th May, 2021.
After two days the pain recurred on the left side of the stomach, a CT scan with contrast and colonoscopy was performed. Doctor advised us an immediate colon resection surgery as there is a tumor inside which has blocked the colon. So, the second surgery was conducted on 6 June, 2021, where doctors removed the infected colon part and sent it for biopsy.
As per the biopsy report I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer Stage 4. Further scanning reveled another metastatic lesion in the liver. Third major surgery ‘Liver Resection’ was performed on 10 August.
Now, I have to go through 12 sessions of chemotherapy Folfox 4.
Due to all these expensive procedures, I am in a financial crunch, unable to finance my treatment and hence require support to proceed.
