I am Datu Lanelio Sangcoan- tribal leader and chief of the clan of the Higa-onon tribe living at the foot of mount Tambulan sacred forest with the tribal elders in Rogongon Iligan City, Philippines. We are now in the mouth of the crocodile since the abused of the miners and loggers plagued the natures and Culture. The tribal dilemma had brought to the point of no return but it is not too late to find remedy of protecting the sacred forest from the outside profit investors.

Amidst of the massive forest destruction, the tribal elders wish is to grow indigenous Abaca crop that will ensure the food security of the tribal communities that sustain their daily foods and income. The campaign will aim to support the effort of twisting the minds of the community from mining to eco-farming that gear towards massive indigenous Abaca crop production.

Abaca crop can be grown in the forest without cutting the big trees. For now, the tribal elders and the community will humbly ask your kind support to realize the indigenous Abaca crop production. The project needs 5000 USD as the start up capital for the 10 hectares farming to protect the nature and provide sustainable livelihood. The tribal elders wish is significant to bring the community as the forest keepers not natures destroyers. We believe that "Forest destruction is the Tribal Extinction.

For this, We are here to ask your support kind earth warriors to contribute this project toward s the total protection of the remaining sacred forest and the tribe. Please help us.

  • This is a great cause. If this Indigenous community can achieve their goal of $5000, it will allow them to plant a cash crop. They have subsistance crops, but they need also to earn some cash to pay the teacher at their school. This is a direct way to help with no middle man that needs to take a cut for their running costs. Please help.
