Tough times ahead folks…and we are asking for your help! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we've had to furlough over 20 employees at "the cheel." We are looking for YOUR help, to help us, help them! As you know, margins are very thin in our industry - and an interruption in business like we are seeing can be disastrous to a small businesses’ future. Thus we have made a campaign to help with our current situation with no government or insurance help in the foreseeable future…Any contributions will be MUCH appreciated – as we know you are all our family – and look forward to seeing your happy faces in our establishment – hopefully soon!
About us @ the cheel…
“the cheel” officially opened doors on July 18th, 2014. Prior to that, Barkha and Jesse worked with a team of volunteers to relocate and rebrand the Thiensville Village Market (TVM). Some of their promotions were to showcase TVM at various events such as Taste of Mequon. Barkha used to make free food for people to get them to stop at the booth – which is when people started asking about where this restaurant was so they could get the food we had. This is the story of how the cheel started…
"the cheel" opened its door with 12 employees and now they have over 35 employees working for us. They have made in kind donations of more than $75,000 for various causes in the community and more. Winning several awards since its inception – and essentially putting “Thiensville on the map” – we have dedicated our lives to our community – and now look for your help!
Any and all contributions are appreciated and will go towards the well-being of our staff and future!
