Support to Refugees

The Syrian crisis has entered its eighth year. More than 3.5 million people displaced by the violence there have sought refuge in Turkey. Their numbers, through births and new arrivals, are increasing by approximately 1,000 people per day. They join half a million more asylum seekers and refugees from other countries.

Despite an otherwise difficult, at times suffocating, political environment in Turkey, civil society groups and local governments there are implementing promising projects designed to address the challenge of integrating these people. Needed now is a national strategy for the long term and greater international burden sharing.

Individuals like myself are working with these refugees to provide them articles of basic need i.e. food, non food items and most importantly clothing. Although you may think that there are so many charities out there proving this assistance so why is there a need to crowdfund.

Having worked in this sector for nearly 15 years I have witnessed that the aid is mostly diverted to where the interest of the donors lye and most of the people who prefer not to live in the camps or settlements are often deprived of this aid.

We have identified approximately 2000 families who are living under such circumstances in areas ignored by all charities and non governmental organizations. Our plan is to provide these families assistance in terms of vocational kits for adults to start a home based income initiative and as the winters are approaching we tend to provide the children with winter clothing items.

The kits for adults include; Mason, Electrician, Plumbing kits

The Kits for children include; Warm Jackets, Hats, Gloves, Mufflers, Socks and a pair of winter shoes.

I am therefore asking for your donations that will allow to help the people in need ignored by the all others.

If we meet the funding target we tend to provide details for all our distributions by starting a Facebook page and a YouTube channel so all who have contributed get to see how their contributions are spent.
