Hey there :) I have set up this fundraising page in order to support the 2 ongoing projects of the amazing charity that is TCEP, The Craig Edwards Project. You have never heard of it ? Then, be sure to check out the website to learn more about the charity and its mission http://www.tceproject.com/about-us/  In both cases, something must be done, so any help would be welcome. Remember that evey dollar, every little or big donation counts and makes a big difference in the end - If you want to think globally, you have to act locally :)  The first project is The Beating Cancer Project. Here is what the TCEP team says about it : « Every year in the UK alone 331,487 new cases of cancer are diagnosed. That’s approximately 910 people every day, and effects 1 in 3 of us. This is an alarming amount, and even though Cancer research has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, people are still suffering. It is estimated that 50% of people diagnosed with cancer now survive. It is amazing that we can do this. Where we want to help, is in the area of sufferers. We want to make it less painful and more comfortable for those having treatment and those with incurable cancers. The scientists are doing a brilliant job, but we want to be on the ground with those battling cancer, with them every step of the way. That’s why in conjunction with other Cancer Support groups we are raising money to help these brave people and their families, being there with them, from their first diagnosis, through their treatment and beyond. Will you please help us by donating anything you can, by helping us spread awareness, or even getting involved by running your own fundraising team! Let’s work together to make some very brave people’s lives a little more comfortable. » The other one is the REAN project : « It is almost impossible to walk the streets of Bucharest for more than five minutes and not encounter a stray dog. According to official estimates there are 65,000 of them - one for every 30 residents of the Romanian capital. But this situation is about to change, if the government gets its way. Or, if a growing number of alarmed international protesters get theirs, it will not. The government wants the dogs rounded up, dumped in death camps and, put down. While this proposal has plenty of support in Romania, protests have rapidly spread around the world, with critics deploring the impending "massacre". It is truly devastating the amount of abuse these dogs suffer in Romania. Luckily for some, there are organisations desperately trying to save as many as possible. One of which is REAN- Rescuing European Animals in Need. They are a UK based group with the aim of creating a better life for these strays and public shelter dogs. They place them in private shelter in Ploiesti, where they are cared for, feed, giving medical help where needed and vaccinated. They then are rehomed throughout Europe and the UK. To be able to provide this better life for these beautiful dogs, they need our help. So we are setting out to raise awareness of the horrors that they have lived, sponsors to keep the shelter open by providing medical supplies, food, beds etc. and helping to get them adopted/fostered into new loving Furever homes. So please, open your hearts and do whatever is in your power to help us help these intelligent, misunderstood animals. » Thank you if you're willing to spread awareness about these projects or donate. Note that you'll be entered to win prizes by drawing lots if you donate £10 or more :)
