Campaign Story
My name is Henrik Huseby, and I’m a Norwegian independent repairer and small business owner. I need your help and your financial support to fight for the Right to Repair, in Norway and globally.
Apple, a $1 trillion-strong company, has decided to sue my small independent repair business, which for years has been fixing Apple iPhones, laptops and PCs. This is not an isolated case, as they’re constantly investigating and suing others too
In 2018 I was sued by Apple for allegedly importing “counterfeit” iPhone screens, a claim I successfully denied in court. The repair shop I own, PCKompaniet in the town of Ski, Norway, never advertised to the public using “genuine” parts from Apple. Apple is trying to use copyright law to make my job and the job of millions independent repair businesses almost impossible.
While Apple lost the original case, it won in appeal earlier this year. I, Henrik Huseby, have been fined with the equivelant of 10795 EURO in court cost and fines to Apple.
This is the ultimate David vs Goliath fight, and it’s a struggle we can’t afford to lose.
Repairing and extending a phone’s lifespan is always the greenest option. No manufacturer is able to cater for the repair needs of all users of its products, including Apple! Independent repairers plan a crucial role in reducing unnecessary electrical waste, and often perform repairs that manufacturers aren’t doing themselves.
What’s at stake is our Right to Repair – in Norway and everywhere else. I’ve been in touch with repair businesses in other countries, which have been threatened by Apple in similar ways. If they win this case, all independent repair businesses will be weaker when confronted by Apple or other manufacturers.
It’s ironic that this legal threat by Apple is happening right at the same time when they’re making major announcements about expanding their provision of a limited set of spare parts to “some” independent repair businesses. We can’t afford any individual company to decide on its own terms who should get access to spare parts and repair manuals
That’s why I’ve decided to appeal further to the Norwegian Supreme Court, “Høyesterett”. I now need all your help to pay for legal fees for this next phase: 10000 EURO for submitting the appeal,
and if the claim is accepted, an additional 60000 EURO.
Please consider donating to my cause, and help me spread the word
All money collected through this campaign will go to pay the law firm who’s helping with this case. Any extra money collected, or in case I win the case at the Supreme Court, will be donated to the European Right to Repair Campaign to be launched in Berlin on 21st September
APPEAL TO SUPREME COURT OF NORWAY

Hi, I only came to this story unfortunately after the unfavourable ruling. I'm sorry for how you've been treated and wanted to thank you for fighting for fairer regulations. It's not much but hopefully this will help lessen the financial impact the results have on you.
