24 comrades and supporters were arrested at the Red May Day action in Boyle Heights. Marchers were said to have been involved in "vandalism, attempted arson and assault." LAPD initially told marchers they were being charged with "failure to disperse" although LAPD never gave a dispersal order. Then the charge was "blocking a roadway in an un-permitted march." In the end, all 24 were charged with "riot." It is totally absurd.

The police swarmed and kettled in May Day marchers, the May Day 24. We need your help and support for all 24 comrades, all who are active supporters of the revolutionary movement in Los Angeles, particularly in Boyle Heights, fighting gentrification and fascists. Although the charges are bogus and ridiculous, our May Day fighters, the May Day 24, are going to need all the help they can get to beat these charges!

Long live May Day!

Long live the May Day 24!
