I'm raising money for Rentals, Renovations and monthly bills for The Backpackers (Birdnest Backpackers).
Managing Backpackers Accommodations in lusaka has been my passion over last years and i take ultimate pride in my work and the services i provide. I had the opportunity to make many friends along the way and create unforgettable memories.
Unfortunatly, much like other hospitality industries, we have been hit hard by with COVID 19 pandemic and lucky of travelers and oversees visitors has made life incredibly tough for us.

The COVID-19 (corona) Pandemic has created a truly unprecedented situations which affect us all. Our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either direct or indirect. During this time our hostel have been heavily hit by COVID-19 about 90% of our income comes from travelers around the world and the operations has been temporaly disturbed due to lock down been experienced globally.
Your support will really help our hostel to continue its operations now and in future for any amount you contribute will mean a lot to us.
Like most of the organisations, we are doing our best to secure the health and well been of our employees and their families.
Moments like this, remind us that we're all connected. We're called up on to be our best selves, with patience, understanding and compassion. Despite of the many difficulties we all face, i'd like to assure you that your support will greatly save The Backpackers (Birdnest Backpackers hostel) throughout this difficult time and we cant wait to see you stay at our hostel next time you travel this beautiful country Zambia. Zambia is blessed with beautiful nature (National parks, Victoria falls just to mention the few).

Nkole and Birdnest made my stay in Lusaka so much fun and so easy. I was in and out of Lusaka over the course of 6 months and Nkole not only made my accommodation and travel situation relaxed and straightforward but he also became a friend and we had many memorable times! Keep strong during the current crisis and hopefully before long I, and other visitors, will be back with you in Lusaka!

When I came to Lusaka in 2016 to do an internship at the University Teaching Hospital I stayed at Bird Nest Backpackers. Nkole and the other employees were always very nice and helpful. From picking me up from the airport to showing me around many nice places in and even outside of town Nkole really proved to be a great host. This is why in those uncertain times it's clear for me that I want to support the Bird Nest Family so that future generations will also be able to have those great experiences.

When I first arrived in Zambia, the banks were closed and I couldn't get access to any money for several days. Nkole picked me up from the airport, fed me and gave me a better room than I'd originally booked, even though I had no way of paying him. I'm more than happy to repay his kindness, and wish everyone at Bird Nest all the best during this tricky time.
