On July 22, our friend, sister, teammate, and fellow Nebraska Cornhusker (who has requested to remain anonymous) was brutally attacked by three masked men who invaded her Lincoln, NE home and mutilated her during an anti-gay hate crime.
Upon hearing the devastating news, her friends have rallied by her side to create this fund to help meet her financial and medical needs.
If you know the victim, you know she has a sweet soul, a genuine smile, and a humble demeanor. No one deserves this inhumane treatment, especially her. As her friends and supporters, we can not let H8 win. How can you help? She does not have health insurance and needs help with her medical bills. Her home was also damaged when the criminals attempted to set it on fire.
Your donations, whether $5 or $100, will help our friend recover from the financial burdens of H8. Let's try to restore some of the humanity in her heart, and show her that her friends, family, Husker family, and even compete strangers are here to support her.
