Campaign Story
At move in day at Quad West apartments in Austin, a tenant along with an activist were arrested for speaking to new tenants about the conditions the slumlord and management keep the property in, including roaches, black mold, and broken appliances. Manager Allisiana Davis called the police within the first ten minutes of people arriving and retreated into the office, only coming back out to mock people after the arrests. Instead of focusing on helping out new tenants who are moving in, she was busy repressing tenants who refuse to sit by while she neglects us and our neighbors.
Tenants on rent strike will not stop demanding better and uniting to fight back against scummy management like Allisiana and her crew! Support tenants fighting back and the nationwide rent strike!
