Who are we?

We are a group of three,ANTONNY,OMANAR AND MARY seniors attending the syirian School . All of us are currently enrolled in a class called International Human Rights, which understandably focuses on human rights, how we define them, the philosophy behind them, and when and where there have been violations of such rights. In our lifetimes, we haven't witnessed any violation of human rights as big as what we're seeing in Syria right now. So our duty as global citizens is to acknowledge these atrocities, and do what we can to help those affected by them. Our goal as of right now is $200,000 but we're hoping that with your generosity and ability to share this page with your friends and family, we can exceed that goal and raise as much money as possible to donate to UNICEF and their efforts in the region.

Why we are doing this:

As most of us are aware, the Syrian people have been going through a tremendous amount recently. The entire Arab world has been seeing waves of revolution and conflict since the recent Arab Spring in December of 2010. Though this was six years ago, it's safe to say that it's fresh in all our minds for the conflict hasn't stopped. Countries are being torn apart by riots, civil wars, and violent demonstrations. The unpredictable governments and struggle for power in the region has caused immense destruction to these countries and these people fighting for democracy need our help!

One such country is Syria. The United Nations has reported that more 100,000 people have died in the clash between the people and their government. Approximately 2,000,000 have become refugees in neighboring countries, half of which are children

The constant government strikes, violent protests, and rockets have resulted in Syria being a constant bloody battlefield. This video linked here is one of the most graphic and disturbing video accounts and timelines of what has been going on in Syria - what the news can't show us - provided by VICE. There are no blurred images, everything that is happening in Syria, is visible in that video (including missing limbs, immense amounts of blood, exposed internal organs, dying children, corpses cluttering the streets, people trying to save other Syrians, etc) and it's one of the most eye-opening videos to hit the internet but it truly can take a toll on those unfamiliar with the gruesome images coming from the region, so we suggest you use your best judgement. So with you're help, we're hoping to raise at least $200,000 dollars to go towards UNICEF's efforts to help the Syrian people. People who want democracy. People who want freedom. People who want peace. And most importantly, people who want their human rights restored. One of the most important things that needs to be done to save these people is protecting their children. Children are the next generation and the world must do everything possible to keep them from being wiped out - without the children, a Syria with renewed freedoms will only last so long. Please consider donating some money to this cause. All proceeds collected will be donated to UNICEF and their efforts in Syria for the generation being caught in the crossfire. Our goal is $200,000 but we are optimistic that we can exceed these goals with your help in reaching out to those you know and spreading the word!Below are four links to articles highlighting both sides of the conflict where our pictures were found if you want a few more sources on the conflict:
