Last June 26, 2019, I undergone cervical operation and been placed a metal implants between c3, c4, c5. That was the same date when my surgeon and Pulmonologist noticed the nodules on my lungs. It was confirmed that I have stage IV Lung Cancer and nodules were seen and spread on both lungs with 2 big nodules at the center and at lower right lobe of the lung. Pleural Effusion was also present.

In this condition, I undergone several test and been monitored with continuous treatment with Oral Chemo drug everyday (Giotrif 30mg), pain management was also applied and other maintenance combined with holistic medicines. Whenever pain goes severe and oxygen level drops, hospitalization comes next. I still suffer from difficulty of breathing and oxygen tank is essential to maintain oxygen level. The pain seemed to be usual last year but I never run out of hope that someday I will be healed and I thanked God that after 3.5 months (December 2019) of treatment there were improvements happened.

On my CT scan with contrast nodules seen regressed and the 2 big nodules decreased it sizes. The treatment went well last year but as treatment and checkup continues, this year of 2020 HMO were already consumed and finances were no longer sufficient to buy the Oral chemo drugs and other medicines. I sometimes MISSED and LAPSED with the treatment. Its more than a year now that I am suffering this disease and still need to undergo continuous treatment. Monthly I have schedules of "zoledronic infusions" and follow check-ups. I already undergone Thoracentesis and been hospitalized 3x this year due to pleural effusions and lastly placed a pigtail tube served as a drain for the accumulated pleural effusion. These routines was truly an exhaustion for me both in physical, mental and in financial.

Despite of this condition I pushed myself to work at home as a Customer Representative Chat Support to help myself sustain the treatment but this is not enough to support all the expenses needed every month. I need to raise the amount of Php 125,000 monthly for the oral chemo-drug, holistic medicines, laboratories and check-ups. Evaluation of my Oncologist is done every 3 months wherein Chest CT scan, Blood test, Xray and Ultrasound is routinely done.

All our savings were all used up and my husband that was an OFW has no chance at all to go back in his work, for cruises right now were stop in operation due to COVID 19 Pandemic situation. He is about now to go back home and we are again looking for any other option where he can get another work to help for my treatment. My family were not financially stable to give that full support on the treatment so we tried other alternative and means to earn but all turns out to be less due to limited resources.

I am a self motivated and a positive person and I used to help others who are needy to the most of my ability but this time, this mission and my desire of helping others been compromised due to cancer. But I am not loosing hope still seeing myself that someday I can still be a strength to others and this can only be possible with the helping hands of those who has the same heart as with me.

For this reason, I am asking for a support to all of you. Any amount that you can send to me would mean a lot and will be a great help for my continuous treatment. Your help will surely let me live longer. Extending this life will also be a great testimony that you have been a channel of blessing to someone like me. Thank you in advance and God Bless You!
