Voluntary Work in Kenya: Support Children with Special Needs

Hi guys,

I’m a speech and language therapist based in Hong Kong. I registered through an organization named International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ) to help children with special needs. I will be volunteering for 3 weeks in Kenya, providing daily hands-on support and disability education among families and local communities with children born with either mental or physical disabilities, such as Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome, who do not have access to support and cannot provide for themselves. 3 weeks of volunteering in Kenya may not be significant enough to make a difference in supporting and raising disability awareness in Kenya, however it’s an ongoing project supported by IVHQ and I’m planning to do this annually if my first experience this summer goes well.

I really need your support in getting the flight tickets and arranging the accommodation, as well as getting necessary materials for the children and their families.
