To All of whom this may concern!

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Denys Makogon, 26 years old, I live in Ukraine (East Europe).

One of my greatest patients is a photography, I've been doing so since remember myself as the small kid with an old Zenit-M camera that my grandpa.

The all-mighty Fate sometimes throws me into very interesting places around the globe, the most indelible impression was made on me by Cambodia - the forgotten world of Buddhism, centuries-old history and genocide (known as Khmer Rouge civil war) where I managed to shoot one very remarkable photo of the floating village on Lake Tonle Sap,

and Cambodian kids, in dirt but smiling, poor but happy, forgotten but never alone

Unfortunately, not all my family, my parents, grandparents, have the opportunity or ability to travel. In order to show them the world, I always travel with my camera. Stories, short videos and photos help them to know the world, even without leaving their homes.

Being upset by that, I found myself on the following though: people around me, my family, my friends, live their lives creating nothing, which is quite sad. So, I decided to show them, that in this world, there is something more than your job, your hobby, your literally meaningless life, something that you just can't observe, but you can try to feel or believe (not talking about religions, just the pure faith). I want to should them that there is one way to apply their knowledge, skills, believes and patience... To create something that will bring a visible and meaningful contribution to the society(in the context of cosmopolitanism), to the humanity in general.

To my regret, I am compelled to ask you for help, knowing that there might be more important ideas to invest in or donate to literally save someone's life! I would like to ask You, to contribute to my strong desire to make a short movie about very special, very unique event - The Burning Man, to the film I conceived, for the film that tells the history of created and destroyed the Art just for the sake of Art, for the film that will try to show people that even staying where they are, being who they are, they could contribute to the better world, to better themselves by creating art not for the money or the recognition, but for the sake of becoming united, becoming better human beings.

In the hope of not being rejected, in hope being heard, I ask you to consider my request. The money that you would contribute I would spend on the actual gear to make the short film appear (camera, lens, tripod, mic). Again, to my regret, I have nothing to provide you, the only reward you may consider to get is my gratitude and being mentioned in the final credits. Imagine, for You nothing is worth the any contribution, but for other people, like me, in need, and people like my relatives, you can make dream come true - to give the opportunity to capture the world that is far far away, being hardly accessible for most of people I know, but reachable through screen panels, internet - through the short film, captured with thoughts of those people who live their lives in total ignorance.
