Support Raizo’s Hospital Bill

My nephew, Raizo Ishige, is an 8-year-old kid and has been diagnosed with Stage 3 - Severe Dengue with Complications and has battled his life for almost 2 weeks in a private hospital in Cavite, Philippines. He was initially brought to a public hospital hoping for a cheaper treatment. However, the public hospital cannot cater this critical disease and has decided to transfer my nephew to a more capable hospital.

Although aware what might cost them at the end, hospital bills are the last thing they mind about. They must save their son’s life no matter what.

Raizo battled his life for 4 days in Intensive Care Unit and 5 days in a private room. Since he was critically diagnosed, he was not allowed to stay in a ward room which could have saved a lot of money. The cost of ICU room and its services are around $576 USD (P30,000 converted using P52 per dollar) a day. The Infectious Disease doctors fee costed them $1,154 USD (P60,000 converted using P52 per dollar) and the Pediatric doctor’s fee is $673 USD (P35,000 converted using P52 per dollar). In addition to this, there are a lot of other expenses such antibiotics, food, etc. His parents sought help from the government to support their financial dilemma. Unfortunately, they were given only small amount of donation because of the assumption that since they were in a private hospital, they are capable to pay.

His father is a Sales person in a shopping mall and his mother is a full-time house wife. When Raizo got hospitalized, his father was forced to take a leave to support his wife on taking care of their son. His work is at stake because of his almost 2 weeks of absences. Also, he’s not paid during these times.

Due to desperation, Raizo’s father borrowed money from loan sharks. They are money lenders which charges high interest rates. He also borrowed money from friends and relatives just to pay the hospital bills. As a result, they are currently in a huge debt. They still need to support Raizo’s needs for full recovery such as checkups, vitamins and food supplements. Also, they need food for their everyday living.

As of writing, they have a total of $3,846 USD (P200,000) debts incurred because of his hospitalization. We are knocking to your kind hearts to please help their family. Your contribution will help Raizo’s family to be free from debts and be able to support their son’s needs for his full recovery.
