Campaign Story
As some of you may know already, the village of Yanque, in the south of Peru (amongst many others in the Colca canyon), has suffered a tragic earthquake on the 14th of August 2016. There have been a number of fatalities and injuries. There are now over 100 families left homeless in the cold winter climate of the 3,600 Metres Altitude high village. Houses have been destroyed and left a huge amount of families with nothing.
The majority of the population are now sleeping in tents on the streets of the village.
People need water, food, clothes and a new home. The majority of the economy is built upon a strong tourism sector which is now decimated.
By donating you can help buy food, clothes, build new homes and help them to set up a new life again and to be able to welcome you back into their beautiful culture.
A small donation can make a big difference! Please help...
