What is Kiddie Habitat?

Kiddie Habitat is a child day care service that was launched in 2017 for young children of diverse ages and needs. The day care was birthed because many young parents needed a place to entrust their children and their early learning needs without the pressures and expectations of a formal preschool. Kiddie Habitat’s learning program is non-traditional as it adapts to each child's emotional, social, and mental readiness.It values the importance of first nurturing and giving every child a happy and fulfilling experience of leaving home for the first time and make new friends. Because of this unique platform, the first year was frequented by a large number of babies aged 1-2, then toddlers ages 3-4 years young whose parents decided to defer formal preschool until their children become emotionally and socially prepared to be away from mom and dad.

Kiddie Habitat also welcomes and has become a haven for children of similar age or older but with special needs and mild developmental delays. Despite its very small and humble one-room facility in Singalong, Manila - a narrow playground in a small portion of an old house that could comfortably host 12 children at one time - Kiddie Habitat kicked off a very fruitful first year.

Our Program

Our students learn how to articulate, learn about colors, shapes, numbers and letters, respond to rhythm.They eat by themselves (independence and self-help skills), share their toys (cooperation), wait for their turn (patience), say “po” and “opo” (respect for elders) and many more. Most importantly, their time spent at Kiddie Habitat transformed them from being kids with gadget and television dependence, withdrawn, or with separation anxiety and trust issues, to very socially and emotionally healthy children.

Kiddie Habitat also aims to nurture and strengthen healthy and sound moral values for our children inside and outside the classroom.

Our Program aims to raise children who are smart, happy and virtuous individuals.

Our Mission – Spread The Kiddie Habitat Method Even to Underprivileged Communities

Kiddie Habitat is humbled to have been able to serve vast needs and achieve so much in its pilot year. Because of a very fulfilling, heart-warming and success-filled first year, Kiddie Habitat enlarges its mission and vision of reaching even more children who were not able to come to us because of their distance from the center. Kiddie Habitat prays that the year 2019 would be a year that opens more doors for it to plant a few more day cares and reach more children by having additional play and activity rooms, and improved facilities to address more needs.

We believe that children are not limited to the four walls of an enclosed classroom to learn.We intend to teach our children the love and respect for nature and God's creation in their learning curriculum by also providing them outdoor learning facilities very soon.

The Day Care Directress, Lisa Marie L. Santiago has been engaged in Early Childhood educational services for more than 30 years. She belongs to a clan and generations of educators in the Philippines.
