Support for Val’s hospitalization

Update posted by Zusima Parabuac On Dec 31, 2021

Many thanks to all of you who helped us. We will never forget such kindness.

May we all have a better and blessed new year ahead.

As an update, we rushed Val yesterday to hospital emergency room because of fever. He was also discharged while waiting for the results of the lab test and ct scan. He is still continuing medication at home..

Please continue to pray for him. Thank you.

God bless you all.

His operation is done and the blood clot was removed successfully, he is now transferred to a normal room and waiting for recovery. It will take time before he comes back to normal. He needs to go to therapy after recovering from his surgery and visitors won't be allowed yet since it's very risky for him.

Yesterday, December 6, we rushed him to a different hospital as he lost his appetite. A CT scan and CT Angiogram were done and he was sent to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) as there are new blood clot formations in his brain. The neurosurgeon assigned to him said that he needs surgery. It was scheduled to be done tomorrow, December 8 at 1:30 pm. We don't have the estimated bill for the operation yet but below is the receipt of the first laboratory tests and confinement.

Dec.9 update - Yesterday Val underwent head operation called Craniotomy evacuation of hematoma. After the operation, he had needed 8 bags of blood transfusion, his bp went down and later on his heart rate increased. So he is still currently in ICU for a close monitoring of vital signs. The bill is already P300K as of yesterday WITHOUT yet the doctors fee (of Neuro Surgeon, Neurologist, Cardiologist, Anesthesiologist and Other doctors) and the cost of the 8bags of blood are not yet included in the billing.

November 21, He was rushed to the hospital as he wasn’t able to move. Dextrose was given while waiting for the swab test result then he's sent to a room for confinement. The next day, a CT scan was requested. The result showed approximately 133ml of acute hyperdense intracerebral hemorrhage. In short, there’s bleeding in his brain causing paralysis on one side of his body. At that time there’s no neurosurgeon in the hospital so the doctor suggested therapy. Two sessions are done and his condition was improving, he was able to move a little and say “nanay,” so we asked if the therapy can be done at home and the hospital agreed. We brought him home on December 2, at this time he was able to sit and eat on his own.
