I am currently in my fifth year of theological studies to become a reverend. I am working full time in construction. I have a wife and two beautiful children. I am a full time student completing my honors degree this year trough a university distance learning programme. Due to work and family I had to opt for the distance programme as I could not be on campus every day.
As my studies are progressing, the academic workload is becoming a near impossible challenge to maintain a balance between family, work and studies. My grades are excellent, academically I am achieving distinctions in most of my modules. I have seven months left of 2021 to finish my Honors degree. After this year I have two years to go to complete my Masters degree and preaching college training.
The challenge that I am facing is that I have a family to support and I have full time studies to complete. I take my studies very seriously as I am training in the Word of God. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated for me to focus on my studies without having to work the hours that I currently have to work to earn an income. I have successfully completed three years of my degree. I had to add a year to my studies due to the fact that I had limited time for all the modules. I work physically in building gyms and other play equipment. After a long day in construction out in the blistering South African sun, it is near impossible to still work on assignments and doing preparations for tests into the early morning hours.
I am not asking for support to save the oceans, I am also not asking for support to save a rain forest. I am asking in my personal capacity for me to complete my studies and to be able to spend more time with my wife, 10 year old son and 4 year old daughter.
I have made it this far. When people ask me how I manage to study, work and have a family? I simply reply: The challenge is big, but the grace of God is much bigger.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please contact me for proof of university registration or a copy of my academic record.
