Support my Naila’s cancer treatment

This fund is being set up for Nalia and her family because of the unexpected medical journey of Nalia in the last several months.

Nalia grew up in Pickle Lake, Ontario and have raised her four children. Nalia has been a paramedic in this isolated town for years, as well as a volunteer firefighter, and very active in the community.

Early August 2018, Nalia experienced facial tremors. With her training and experience, she knew this was not normal and had it checked out. MRI and CT scans revealed an anomaly in her brain. This was subsequently removed through surgery, and the tumor was tested to reveal cancer. Nalia was sent home to recuperate before beginning radiation and chemotherapy.

Nalia was kept in the hospital to recover and then began her radiation treatments, as well as chemotherapy. After a month she was able to be in an out-patient residence for the last couple weeks of radiation. Nalia was better able to rest there, but the treatments were physically and emotionally exhausting.

While at home, trying to regain her health and stamina, she need your support to continue her future treatment.
