Hello. My name is Diana from Nairobi, Kenya. I am 27 years old. I was enrolled at a provincial school to pursue high school education in 2008. I cleared high school in 2011 with a B - (MINUS) of 59 points (59/100) but could not collect my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) because of school fees balance. We are currently in 2021 and I am still unable to clear the balance. I would like your support in raising funds to clear my high school balance, which puts me at decade in debt.

To give you a background to my story, I will start from the point I cleared high school. My journey after high school was embarked with numerous financial challenges. I immediately pursued entrepreneurship, where I made beaded items for local customers. My local business was not doing that well because it involved selling handmade jewelry to wholesalers, who later sold them to retailers. Therefore, in a month I would earn around $100 to $150. This monthly income was enough to cater for my bills which include food, clothes, shelter, electricity, water, and medical expenses (I have been diagnosed with severe asthma for over 26 years). I continued with the business until March 2020, when international flights were cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. I always supplied my handmade jewelry to businesses who relied on foreigners to buy the products. Therefore, banning international flights collapsed my source of income. In April 2020, I decided to try freelance writing and html and CSS coding, which I am pursuing to date. My earnings are not that different from those I earned while selling handmade beadwork.

In 2021, I promised myself to try my luck in education by enrolling at a local university to pursue B.S.C. Computer Science. The degree will help me gain necessary skills to be part of the existing body of software engineers who strive to make a difference in the global economy. Part of the university's admission criteria involves scanning my KCSE certificate which I currently do not have because I am unable to access it from my previous school. I would like your support in financing my education. Part of the funds will clear my huge high school tuition debt, another section of the funds will support my higher education tuition fees (at least for one academic year), and the rest of the funds will support my beadwork business by funding the transition of my business from a local wholesale handmade beadwork business to an online ecommerce platform that sells handmade beadwork at retail prices in Kenya and globally (hopefully). The online business will support my education further by increasing my net profits which will fund the second, third, and fourth semesters.Thank you for taking time to read this description and for all your support.
