MY MUSIC PHILOSOPHY

I believe that Classical Music should be taught to anyone and everyone without exception.

Classical Music connects people with the past, the present, and the future and gives them something in which to take pride. Everyone should be able to understand and appreciate music and its importance in his life. The purpose of music education is to teach a universal language to people that they will be able to use no matter where they are, for the rest of their lives.

Classical Music is an indispensable tool for everyone. It boosts concentration and self-discipline and improves listening and social skills. It also has a tremendous organizing quality to the brain and aids in developing memory, emotion and mood.

Classical Music is essential because it helps people to develop skills such as time management, communication, patience, and perseverance.

People involved in classical music have sharper minds and are less likely to suffer a mental decline. Mastering instruments such as the piano, improves their ability to pick up mistakes and fix them quickly. People playing an instrument have a significantly higher spatial and emotional IQ.

While not everyone may develop into a musical master, everyone does have the potential to benefit from classical music. A a teaching artist, my primary concern is to bring to everyone the best Classical Music has to offer.
