Support The Mountain People

We are still waiting for a miracle on K2. Ali Sadpara was a part of our Value of Life project, to build a support system for high altitude porters and underprivileged mountaineers.

5 out of 14 eight thousand meter peaks in the world lie within Pakistan. Thousands of people have summited Mount Eversest but only a few people have stood on top of The Savage Mountain K2. Along with K2, The Killer Mountain - Nanga Parbat, Gashebrum 1, Gashebrum 2, and Broadpeak are some of the most challenging peaks in the world of Mountain Climbing.

Thousands of adventurers come to Pakistan to climb some of the world’s highest peaks but without the help of local climbers, guides and porters, none of such expeditions would be possible. While these privileged climbers go back to celebrate their success with their big sponsors, the local climbers who were the reason behind that success are left almost empty-handed. Has anyone ever thought what would happen if these climbers, who are the sole breadwinners in their families, get frostbite or get injured or even die?

We have started a project to bring awareness to challenges of porters, climbers, and local community. We will be documenting stories of the people of the mountains and raising funds for them. We will also organize group activities for fundraising.

We will use the raised funds to support families of the deceased mountain guides, aspiring but underprivileged climbers, local community members, and most importantly, a support system for the mountaineering community.

You all will agree how hard it is to climb mountains, but it is even harder if you are carrying someone else’s load. These porters are the unsung heroes.

If you like mountaineering and Adventure, help and support these people, the sport of mountaineering will die without them. If you believe in humanity, come forward and give value to these important lives.
