Support me to women’s empowerment and growth in india

A bit about me. I am currently living in Mumbai for the past 3 months. I had been travelling India for the previous 6 months. I took the decision to extend my stay in Mumbai due to a fantastic organisation i came across. By profession i am a psychiatric nurse specialising in homelessness.

The organisation is an non government organisation supporting marginalised young homeless women. My interest is this particular NGO is due to their unique and progressive way of working. They are a grassroots NGO in their infancy. They are currently focusing on front line services such as getting the young women off the streets of Mumbai, away from the sex trade and abuse and into a safe shelter. Once the young women are safe they are given the freedom to start a life with dignity and peruse a career and or education of their choice something which is still a challenge to all women in in India.

They realised that their valuable work could not continue without publicity from a marketing point of view. This is where i come in. I was recruited in a volunteer position to work on their tag line, messaging, website content and building, creating a brochure for them and writing funding proposals. I eagerly accepted the position knowing that supporting women's progression within society is an extremely important issue.

I am currently looking for financial support to enable me to continue my stay in India and complete the work that is essential so that the NGO can progress and reach its full potential.
