Support Lucija’s first steps

Please, SUPPORT LUCIJA!

Lucija is very happy, 5,5 years old girl with special needs. She has a very rear TUBa1a gene mutation (click to learn more about).

She cannot walk, cannot speak, cannot eat or drink by herself. She is poor sighted, has developmental delays and seizers.

We try to make her independent as much as possible. She needs for every (even daily) activities our 100% help and support; to eat, to drink, to go to the bathroom, on toilet, to move from one room to another.

She needs a lot of speech therapy in order to make some understandable communication, occupational therapy for daily needs, neurophysiotherapy to learn how to walk and strengthen her body for that.

Unfortunately she has a combined disorders which makes her (and us) life very difficult.

So far, in 4,5 half years, we have spent more than 10.000 EUR only for the neurophysiotherapy, for her accessories and traveling expenses. Basically all the savings are spent for her.

Now beside neurophysiotherapy we need to support her with speech therapy, occupational therapy which will bring even more costs.

Without these therapies Lucija would not have such improvements and she could have also some other health issues.

Our family has prepared some pics of her therapies. There are a tons of pictures, videos of her therapies. We are glad that she made improvements, but for this we had to spent a lot of money and a lot of our time, our energy.

Otherwise we try to live as normal as possible life and to be a positive-minded family.

Lucija is always smiling and she is a real sunshine. She gives positive energy to us and everyone who surrounds her. Therefore our family will do our best in order to support her.

We do not know yet how it is to have a healthy child, but we have learned how to be a strong and connected family!
