A year at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics would be more than a dream come true, it would be a chance at rebirth. Receiving the offer to study at Oxford prior to my birthday was the best gift I could ever ask for yet the means to relish this present is a daunting tuition fee, of £29605 (Oxford Wycliffe Hall + OCCA), I cannot surmount without your generous gifts and donations.

On the 14th of August, I am to provide evidence of my ability to fund my Oxford education and with your generous contribution we will be able to raise a substantial amount of money to buy more time and meet all necessary needs before school starts in September. I have faith in my heart and a dream on my mind to build an Apologetics and Theology Resource Centre in my home country Ghana in a few years to come, This resource centre will raise and sponsor many African Apologists to answer the critiques and questions of the dawning philosophical and intellectual age in Africa that has reaped decadence in other parts of the globe.

My love for apologetics was born 5 years ago, when my dream of becoming a neuroscientist were dashed and it seemed like all hell broke loose. I had multiple things go wrong in consecutive fashion in a very short period of time with my dad's demise being the last straw that broke my back.

There were many questions that plagued my mind yet very few satisfying answers to calm the storm. It was during these depressing times that a friend introduced me to a collection of Dr Ravi Zacharias’s Just Thinking and Let My People Think podcasts which truly blessed my life. My hope was gradually rekindled with every message I listened to and it was as if my life received a fresh breath of hope. I found a way to connect the faith in my heart with the questions of my mind and was able to enjoy a measure of peace that anchored me through those times. I discovered truth, like a healing balm upon the wound of the afflicted, had power to restore health and wellness. This was truly my first time being introduced to Apologetics as an area of study in the Christian faith.

Early this year, I enrolled in the rzimacademy.org Core Module Course and today, I hold a one year joint admission offer from the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and Oxford Wycliffe Hall (Undergraduate Certificate in Theological Studies) starting September 2017. Attached to this campaign is a video revealing an experience that has influenced my journey thus far.

My target is to raise as much as I can through this campaign and trust the Lord to meet me at the point of my need through other means and in catering for my one year minimum living expenses estimate of £9000. Your donations of any amount, £1000, £5000 etc. will be the reason why stories would be told of an Africa where truth, hope and the love of God prevailed against the surge of unguided intellectualism and relativism. Donations that exceed my set target will be channelled into The Raising African Apologists Fund; A fund I am starting that is committed to sponsoring churches, leaders, groups and individuals to undertake Apologetic training and education. We seek to do this by sponsoring students take on courses at rzimacademy.org and other online apologetic resources. Donating to this cause means a lot to me and I am grateful.
