Thank you for passing by and caring. My name is Tesfaneh Mekonnen, I grew up in Kabe, in northern Ethiopia in the Wello region. I am lucky to have completed my Bachelor degree in Management from the Addis Ababa University and now work as a Multitask Station Agent at Lufthansa in our capital Addis Ababa. I am very grateful for my blessings but I know that hardly everyone is as fortunate as I am from my home region. The children and elders in my community are completely marginalised and cut off from the wealthy urban regions, they are in need of very basic things. Children hardly have any school materials to be able to study efficiently often causing them to quit education; and the elders often do not have any family support because their children passed away and they lack basic things such as clothing, bedding and even housing. I go back home as often as I can to bring school materials for the children and some basic support but I would love to be able to have an impact on the community on a much bigger scale. That is why I started this fundraiser, every cent helps to make a difference for the Kabe children and elders, to support their education and basic needs. On behalf of the Kabe community, I thank everyone for their support. God bless.
