Israel-Hayward started taking tennis lessons at the age of 4. Since day one it was easy to see that he is a talented boy. I still have vivid pictures in my mind of how he ran for every ball. He was like a lion going after its prey. After winning his second u/8 tournament, I started coaching him myself. I believe with all my heart Israel is primed to be a grand slam tennis champion.
One year ago at a G5 tournament for u/18 juniors, we were hitting a few balls and a coach from Cape Town, South Africa noticed Israel's talent and his technique, which is years ahead of his age. Eitan Adams approached us and asked if we would consider sending Israel to pursue his tennis career in Cape Town at a facility that will make it possible for him to become a professional tennis player. We understand that the right environment is key to achieve desired results. This is the same tennis school that produced Lloyd Harris who is currently in the top 100 and recently reached his first semi final in an ATP250 event. Also, Kholo Monsi who trains at the same facility is currently ranked 22 in the World Juniors. Israel was also seen by Functional Tennis on Instagram and named Functional Tennis Player. The post was seen by 1000's of people. After a year long conversation with the school, we have decided to finally move and give Israel this opportunity. Israel received a tennis bursary (all coaching lessons paid) from Anthony Harris Tennis Academy.
The reason we are asking for your help: At the end of the year Israel is travelling to Spain, of course with your help to take part in a Ten Pro tournament from the 2nd December 2019 - 8th December 2019 at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy. This will be his first opportunity to lock rackets with other talented boys from all over the world. You may visit his Instagram page to see more of him @ israel_hay_dowie_8.
