Support hospital expenses of my brother, Dominic

I am humbly asking for your assistance to seek financial support to fund the medical / hospital expenses of my brother, Rey Dominic Manzano (36y/o), who is currently admitted at Metro Antipolo Hospital and Medical Center.

It was early last year when he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease- Stage 5 and around October 2019, he underwent a major operation for his ruptured appendix. The procedure and other treatments during and after the surgery (angiogram, series of dialysis, ICU-monitored) costed us nearly a million pesos.

I am still currently paying off our debt from this unfortunate event, yet in less than a year my family is again facing another major challenge.

My brother was admitted last September 4 due to days of unbearable pain on his stomach area. He had edema and got nauseous round the clock because of his very low sodium and potassium level, very low RBC and gallstone blocking some passage that makes him difficult to discharge urine. To relieve his pain, he was initially given IV to increase sodium and potassium level and had 2 units of blood transfusion to increase his RBC. He was also scheduled for operation on his gallbladder after endoscopy, 2D echo and hemodialysis were performed.

With all the lab tests performed, initial procedures provided, other pre and post operation tests, several doctors involve in the operation, and the uncertainties of the surgery outcome (possibility of putting him again on ICU), the cost of all of these are beyond my capacity. I have no savings left after last year’s operation and still struggling to pay off loans from it. My brother has no work to have an HMO to help and both my parents are senior citizens. Since the pandemic started, I am solely the source of income of our family, on which a portion goes to our basic needs and the rest to my brother’s monthly check-ups and medicine maintenance.
