HINA'S FAMILY BACKGROUND
Hina is the only child of her parents. She belongs to a small rural village of Sanghar in Sindh (Pakistan). Her mother Seema dedicated 37 years of her services to my family in Karachi, Pakistan as a nanny to all 4 children in the house.
THE TURNING POINT
This is Hina's Tragic Story. Hina was celebrating her 3rd pregnancy and anxiously waiting for the birth, this delightful occasion was turned down by a heartbreaking news. Hina's husband was diagnosed with stage 4 liver and mouth cancer.
While the family was devastated, Hina spent her entire pregnancy back and forth from the hospital. Doctors provided all necessary medications. Finally, on January 2nd, 2018, her baby was born. Another shock for them, the baby was underweight and malnourished. On top of that, he was suffering from chest infection and dehydration. "Baby is too weak to survive." the doctors said.
On one hand Hina and her family were getting her new born treated in the hospital while on the other hand distressed by the critical and agonizing condition of her husband. Hina, torn between the two, fearing the loss of both, kept her FAITH strong and reminded herself that God loves those who are patient specially at the time when calamity strikes.
Hina's husband fought the cancer for 10 months and PASSED AWAY on May, 13th, 2018, leaving behind a beautiful loving wife only 32 years old and 3 children. 2 daughters of the age 7 and 4 and a son, 4 months old.
The day her husband passed away, the grief had not fully settled in that the doctors suggested her son was to be moved to the ICU immediately, due to his deteriorating condition.
My family requested to transfer her son over to the city as soon as possible, so Hina's mother took the leap of FAITH, traveled over night in hope for the baby's recovery and showed up at our place, May,15th 2018.
Despite living hand to mouth and facing such a traumatic loss, Hina's mother's strong faith is reflected below:
Hina's mother: We are so thankful to God for
everything. There are many other people who are in desperate times and
in worse conditions. May God help them.
Whatever HE gives us, is HIS, what ever HE takes from us, is HIS.
Hina's baby is much better after Intense medical care, 3 & 1/2 pounds, drinking 5oz of milk, becoming more active and looking cute in the Big guy bodysuit. He turned 5 months on the 2nd of June.
WHY DOES HINA NEED OUR SUPPORT
With all being said, Its a harsh environment in the village. Hina's children will have to face all the hardships of being orphan, while Hina has to face all the hardships of being a widow. At the same time, the loss of her husband has left her with no source of income. They were forced to spend their meager savings on her husbands medications and treatment. Hina's father, has advanced TB (tuberculosis) and unable to provide for the family.
My family and some of our friends are taking care of the medical expenses going into the treatment of the baby and supporting Hina's day to day expenses. The baby needs extended treatment and care to fully recover, so we have set up a fund from which Hina and her children can be supported monetarily for their basic needs.
However, our intention is to help set up a small scale business for her so she can earn a living and support herself and her 3 children in the future. This is where we need your help. Our goal is to make her self sufficient. By your generous contribution, we can achieve that goal.
Share some love with Hina during her tragic situation. Your generosity will be remembered and deeply appreciated.
