HI Team Plena
For those that don't know one of the most valuable parts of the wider podiatry team is the support team based in CEBU Philippines. This team is made up of some hardworking, caring, fun loving people who always uphold the strong Plena values.
December however has not been kind to the people of Cebu with typhoon Rai devastating the community already killing over 350 people. Leaving others without homes including our very own Mike Minoza and many more without fresh water to drink. There is no electricity and WIFI is intermittent however the Cebu team still find a way to come to work despite the rubble and devastation. This is the dedication they show to helping Plena become a market leader. Currently the only way to get electricity is via generators and gas stations who cant keep up with demand .Our team is working well into the night making up for lost time during the day due to having no power. This dedication deserves some support.
Whilst the red cross and other charities are doing there part with little to no news coverage this devastating natural disaster has torn lives, homes and spirits apart.
I am hoping that by creating this little fundraiser with the money going directly to our Cebu team members to help people like Mike re build their home and others in our team have clean drinking water, that we can show our support, care and love to our colleagues during this difficult time. We have been lucky enough during the pandemic to be working through and a little goes a long way so I hope we can all put one hand in our pocket and one on our heart as we wish Cebu a fast recovery.
